May Faith Forum: Being Disciples

Being Disciples

St. Matthew’s Faith Forum
May 2 – June 6 | 9:00-9:45 Via Zoom

Rowan Williams is a Welsh Anglican and a first-rate theologian. He served as the 104th Archbishop of Canterbury and before that spent a good portion of his time teaching at Oxford and Cambridge (he returned to Magdalene College at Cambridge after retiring as Archbishop of Canterbury). Beginning May 2 at 9 am the Sunday Faith Forum will focus on reading and discussing his wonderful book Being Disciples: Essentials of the Christian Life. Each week we will not only discuss a different chapter, but also put the concepts being explored into practice. Chapters include the following topics “Faith, Hope, and Love,” “Forgiveness,” “Holiness,” “Faith in Society,” and “Life in the Spirit.”

Participants are asked to come to the May 2 class ready to discuss chapter 1, “Being Disciples.” To participate please RSVP to Blair Pogue at rector@stmatthewsmn.org and get a copy of this wonderful book. You can purchase it from the St. Mark’s Cathedral Book Store in Minneapolis or online.
