Jonathan House Community Meal

You may have noticed that we have been supporting the asylum seeker charity Jonathan House over the last couple of years, which involves accompanying asylum seekers as they settle into one of Jonathan House’s three homes in Saint Paul. Our women’s team is currently accompanying a young woman from Zimbabwe, whom we were delighted to have with us the other Sunday.

Over the next three months we will also be hosting three community meals with residents and other supporters. The first is from 10:00 to 12:00 on the morning of Saturday, April 18, and is a potluck. This is a great chance to meet Jonathan House’s residents, staff and supporters from other churches, all here at St Matthew’s. One of the underlying goals of Jonathan House is to make the space for mutual transformation which only comes from personal encounter, so please do come along—no need to sign up, just bring something to share with others!
