What Have You to Do with Us, Jesus of Nazareth?

Recorded live at the indoor service Sunday, January 28, 2024.

Image: Aerial view of Capernaum, on the northern coast of the Sea of Galilee in northern Israel, now a national park. The octagonal roof near the center is the recently built Pilgrimage Church of St. Peter, part of a Franciscan monastery. Excavations undertaken during its construction have revealed the foundations of a very early (first century) church and a residential layer that may have included the Apostle Peter’s house. Adjacent to the church are the ruins of the 4th-century synagogue, which was built over the synagogue that Jesus visits in the Gospel passage. Photograph (2013) by Yigal Dekal (יגאל דקל).
