Uganda liturgy begins

Following St. Matthew’s tradition, we celebrate our global Anglican heritage by offering new world liturgies (prayer and music) during the Epiphany season. In 2022, we will celebrate Uganda using prayers and music at our 10:30am service through the month of January. Special thanks to the Rev. James Akuwa, who helped us plan the liturgy and taught us some songs.

We will begin on January 16 with a session learning about Uganda. The Rev. James Akuwa will Zoom in to the all ages learning time about Uganda from Central Uganda at 9:00 am Central Standard Time with his wife. James Akuwa and James Garubanda will share about the history and culture of Uganda, as well as more about Christianity in Uganda and James Akuwa’s church in Mukono. Thanks also to Kennedy Nyenya for arranging the PowerPoint.

We will continue using Ugandan liturgy and music in our services through the end of January.
