Project Home and its parent organization, Interfaith Action (IFA), are moving to new and vastly expanded facilities in Bandana Square, at 1010 Bandana Boulevard West in Saint Paul. St. Matthew’s has a long-standing and deep relationship with the organization, involving many members in various volunteer roles. One reason there is a lot of excitement about this move is that it may provide room for everyone in St. Paul, especially children, who do not have shelter with a place to stay.
The Rev. Rachel Morey, a director at IFA, has offered us a tour of the new facility at noon on Tuesday, June 24. It will be a wonderful way to learn about the work they and we do and to see the progress being made. If you are interested in attending, or would like to but the time does not work for you, please contact Lars at lars@stmatthewsmn.org.
They are planning to complete the move by August. There is lots of preparation to complete before then, including painting the halls, attaching TV screens to walls, and equipping closets with shelves. If you are interested in helping out, please also contact Lars so we can be ready to go when they need volunteers.
