Loaves and Fishes
Social Justice opportunity! Loaves & Fishes allows us to share our time and food with those in need at the Dorothy Day Center in downtown St. Paul. In the short span of four hours on a Sunday afternoon we will cook a complete meal and serve 250 to 330 people. Over the years many families and friends have found Loaves & Fishes to be a great opportunity to work together as a team on a short but satisfying project. Experience is not necessary! All you need to be able to do is take direction from the crew coordinators and smile. We need six to eight cooks and 14 servers for this effort to work well. Cooks are needed at the Dorothy Day Center at 2pm, and servers at 4pm. Please sign up in the parish hall if you can help. We also need 55 dozen cookies and bars. You can either bring the cookies and bars to the Dorothy Day center, or leave them in the church kitchen that morning. If you do plan to bring them down please let Ray know so that he doesn’t buy any additional cookies. Please mark your donations for Loaves and Fishes and indicate the amount of cookies or bars.
